I recently had the pleasure of redesigning the new
Brightspark Consulting website. This time I worked purely in Photoshop and left the WordPress development in someone else’s hands. It was wonderful to free up and spend time creating a bespoke website design that embraces both the professionalism and individuality of Maryrose Lyons and her company.
Maryrose is the Queen of content so from the start I knew we’d be working those words on the page. The content is tight and precise and reads so well. Also Maryrose got videos done – so instead of reems of content explaining a process she can tell you about – almost in person! The main content is displayed in one of my favourite fonts from Google – “Open Sans“. It has such a lovely form from thin to thick and in between. A bit of fun and buoyancy is brought about by “Architect’s Daughter” font – also from Google Fonts. Both fonts work together to bring Maryrose’s personality to the fore.
Talking of hearts… Maryrose herself says:

I love the colour palette of the Brightspark logo – the bright, almost pinky red is perfectly teamed up with a minty green and an aqua blue. The design itself is pretty laid back – lots of white space, good typography and and some fun waves and wooshes to guide the eye around the website and toward some call to actions.
